Lowe’s has added a 12-ounce Project Source Teeny trash can to its mini collection. The small plastic container comes with a dome-shaped lid, is advertised as food-safe and is listed for $3; it is not intended for hot liquids.
Lowe’s has added a 12-ounce Project Source “Teeny” trash can to its mini collection, offering a small, plastic container with a dome-shaped lid for $3. The product is advertised as food-safe and reportedly fits in most car cup holders, though the report warns against putting hot liquids in it.
The product was spotted and purchased by ToolGuyd, which reported finding it at a Lowe’s store and later seeing it listed online. The container is shaped like a miniature garbage can and holds 12 ounces. Its included lid is dome-shaped, according to the report.
ToolGuyd described the item as a simple plastic container that can hold small items or other contents. The report says Lowe’s advertises it as food-safe and that it fits in most car cup holders. Those details do not establish that it is suitable for every food or drink use; the report specifically says not to use it for hot liquids.
The reported price is $3. ToolGuyd said it later found free shipping shown online, but the source does not provide a product listing or confirm whether that shipping offer remains available. Shoppers should check Lowe’s current listing and local store stock for up-to-date price and availability.
A Small Item With Everyday Uses
The Teeny trash can is a low-cost addition to Lowe’s miniature products, combining a novelty shape with the function of a small lidded container. Its 12-ounce capacity and reported cup-holder fit may appeal to shoppers looking for a compact way to hold small items in a vehicle, at a desk or around the home. The source does not identify specific intended uses beyond its container function.
For buyers, the practical details are modest but relevant: it costs $3, includes a lid and is described as food-safe. The warning about hot liquids matters because the trash-can design could be mistaken for a novelty drinking cup. ToolGuyd reported that the author’s children thought it looked like a coffee cup, but the report explicitly cautions against using it for hot beverages.
The item may also interest shoppers who collect Lowe’s mini products. The report places it within the retailer’s broader mini collection, although it does not list the collection’s other products or say how many items it includes.

How the Product Was Spotted
The product’s discovery was described in a report published by ToolGuyd. Its author said they visited Lowe’s to look for new items and found the container on the way to checkout. The author bought one in store for $3, then noticed an online listing that appeared to offer free shipping.
ToolGuyd also disclosed that it may earn an affiliate commission if readers buy through links on its site. That disclosure is relevant to the source’s commercial relationship, but it does not change the product details reported in the article. The source presents the author’s view that the item could be fun and might prove useful; that is an individual opinion, not a claim from Lowe’s about performance or customer demand.

Availability and Use Details
The source does not provide a Lowe’s product-page link, SKU, manufacturing details or complete care instructions. It also does not say whether the $3 price and reported free-shipping offer are still current, or whether the item is stocked at every Lowe’s location. Availability and shipping terms may differ by store or online order.
Although the product is advertised as food-safe, the report does not specify which foods or temperatures are suitable. It gives a clear warning against hot liquids, but does not address microwave use, dishwasher cleaning or other conditions. The claim that it fits most cup holders is also attributed to the report and is not accompanied by measurements or a list of compatible vehicles.
Check Lowe’s Current Listing
Shoppers interested in the container can check Lowe’s website or contact a nearby store to confirm current price, stock and shipping. Before using it with food or drink, buyers can consult the product packaging or retailer listing for any care and temperature guidance. Based on the source report, it should not be used for hot liquids.
No additional product announcements, restock dates or changes to Lowe’s mini collection were included in the report. Whether the Teeny trash can becomes a continuing item in the collection, or remains available only while supplies last, has not been established.
