B&Q is offering its 7ft Valais Natural Effect Hinged Full Artificial Christmas Tree for £50 as a Black Friday Specialbuy. Ideal Home reports that the tree is available online and in stores, but the retailer’s stock and restock plans are not specified in the source material.
B&Q is selling a 7ft Valais Natural Effect Hinged Full Artificial Christmas Tree for £50 as a Black Friday Specialbuy, according to Ideal Home. The retailer’s listing is reported to be available online and in stores; the tree is not pre-lit, and the source says it comes with a stand.
The £50 price is the central draw: Ideal Home describes it as a low-cost option for shoppers who want a full-size artificial tree without paying the higher prices associated with some bushier, premium models. The report does not provide a previous price or a discount percentage, so the offer can be described as a £50 listing, but not measured against an established saving.
The Valais has a hinged design, intended to let the branches fall into place during assembly, with light shaping still expected. It has 1,007 branch tips, according to the report. Ideal Home cautions that this may mean it looks less dense or realistic than more expensive trees, and says shoppers should keep expectations in line with the price.
The tree is not pre-lit, so buyers will need to supply their own lights. Its included stand supports the tree, though the report notes shoppers may want a tree skirt to cover the base. Ideal Home says it is being sold as a Black Friday Specialbuy and reports that the product may not be restocked after it sells out; B&Q’s own current stock and restock position are not independently confirmed in the supplied material.
A Full-Height Tree at £50
The offer gives households working to a set Christmas budget a way to buy a 7ft artificial tree at a listed price of £50. That matters for shoppers comparing a tall centrepiece with more expensive models, but the price alone does not establish how the tree will look in a home or how it compares in durability with costlier alternatives.
There are practical trade-offs. Buyers will need to provide their own lights, assemble and shape the hinged branches, and may choose to add decorations or a skirt to change the finished look. The reported 1,007 tips and the review’s density caveat are relevant when deciding whether the budget price suits a shopper’s expectations.

What the Valais Offers
Ideal Home frames the listing as part of B&Q’s Black Friday sale and contrasts it with artificial trees that can cost hundreds of pounds. The source does not give a market-wide price survey, so that comparison reflects the report’s general description rather than a specific calculation of savings against named premium models.
The article also names alternatives for shoppers who want a different price or specification: a 7ft Habitat Imperial tree at £35, and Habitat’s 7ft pre-lit Nordland tree at £55 through Argos. These are examples cited by Ideal Home, not a complete comparison of all available trees. The Nordland includes lights, while the B&Q Valais does not, making features as well as price relevant to the choice.
“The tree is only available as a Black Friday Specialbuy.”

Stock and Restock Details
The supplied report does not confirm how many trees are available, whether the £50 price remains live now, or whether stock differs between B&Q stores and its website. It also does not provide a sale end date or a direct B&Q statement confirming that there will be no restock. Ideal Home describes the item as a Specialbuy and says it expects it to sell quickly, but that prediction is the publication’s assessment, not a confirmed sales update.
The source does not include independent testing of the tree’s long-term durability, exact packed dimensions, or detailed assembly instructions. Shoppers should check B&Q’s current listing for the latest price, availability and product specifications before travelling or ordering.
Check the Current Listing
The next step for interested shoppers is to check B&Q’s website or contact a local store to confirm whether the £50 Valais tree is still available and whether collection or delivery is offered in their area. Since the report describes it as a limited Specialbuy, availability may change, but no confirmed sell-out or restock announcement is included in the source material.
Before buying, shoppers can compare the Valais with alternatives on height, lighting, branch density and total cost, including any lights or decorations they will need to purchase separately. Any update to the price or stock status would depend on information from B&Q.
