CNET reports that several Meross smart-home products are discounted in Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, with advertised savings of up to 38%. Listed offers include a $72 Wi-Fi water timer and a $59 garage-door opener kit; prices and availability may change.
Several Meross smart-home gadgets are discounted during Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, with savings advertised at up to 38%, according to a deal report from CNET. Highlighted offers include a Wi-Fi water timer listed at $72 and a garage-door opener kit listed at $59, though sale prices and stock can change.
CNET identifies the Meross Wi-Fi water timer as the sale’s biggest discount. The report lists it at $72, down $44 from a stated $116 list price. The device connects to a garden hose or sprinkler system and can manage two watering zones. CNET also says it can use real-time weather data to skip watering when rain is expected. Those features are product descriptions in the report; the actual usefulness will depend on a buyer’s setup and local conditions.
Another highlighted offer is a Meross smart garage-door opener kit, listed at $59 compared with a $70 list price, a reported 15% saving. CNET says the model has an external antenna intended to improve Wi-Fi reception and reach. The report notes that one Meross kit appeared on CNET’s list of best smart garage-door openers of 2026; that editorial assessment is separate from the sale price.
The deal roundup also mentions a Meross smart thermostat listed for $68 and an outdoor smart plug advertised at 15% off, along with discounts on smart plugs and strip lights. The source does not provide every model number or a full price-and-discount breakdown for those products, so shoppers should check the individual Amazon listings for the exact model, current price and compatibility details.
Discounts Span Everyday Smart-Home Uses
The offers cover several different jobs around the home: controlling irrigation, operating a garage door, adjusting heating and powering outdoor lights. For readers comparing smart-home products, the sale may lower the upfront cost of trying a device, especially where a product’s features match an existing setup. The largest listed reduction is $44 on the water timer, while the garage-door kit’s stated discount is more modest.
Price alone does not establish whether a device is the right choice. Buyers may need to check whether a particular product works with their phone, smart-home platform, garage-door system or irrigation arrangement. A sale listing also does not show the long-term cost of use or establish how much energy or water a household will save. Those outcomes depend on installation, settings and household use.

What CNET’s Deal Report Covers
The source for this report is a CNET deal roundup focused on Meross products during Amazon’s October Prime Day promotion. It describes the discounts as live at the time of publication and directs readers to Amazon’s Meross sale section. The supplied material does not give the article’s publication date, so the precise timing of each listed price cannot be independently pinned down here.
CNET’s report also points readers to alternatives, including an Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium listed at $210 in the same sale period. That comparison is presented as a higher-priced option, not as a direct price match. CNET Senior Editor Tyler Lacoma described the garage-door kit as “perfect for longer driveways or homes that have multiple garage doors” and said its CarPlay support offers “easy control from your car’s dashboard as you pull up” in front of the house.

Prices and Compatibility Can Change
The source report does not confirm how long the offers will remain available, whether all products are in stock, or whether every shopper will see the same price. Amazon deal prices can change during a sale. The stated list prices and savings are those provided in CNET’s report, not an independent price-history analysis.
Some details are also absent from the supplied material, including the exact model numbers for several products, complete compatibility requirements and any restrictions on the offers. The report does not establish that the listed products will produce a particular level of water or energy savings. Shoppers should review the current product page and manufacturer information before buying.
Check Listings Before Purchasing
The next step for shoppers is to open the current Amazon listings and verify the model, price, stock status and compatibility for their intended use. CNET’s report directs readers to Meross products in Amazon’s Prime Day sale, but it does not provide a confirmed end time for each offer. Prices and availability should be treated as subject to change while the promotion runs.
Anyone comparing options can also review CNET’s suggested alternatives, including the higher-priced Ecobee thermostat, and weigh features against budget and existing equipment. No later price update or post-sale availability is confirmed in the supplied source material.
