John Lewis has launched its Loft Chaise Sofa Bed, a £1,199 living-room sofa bed with a chaise section and under-seat storage. Ideal Home reports that a 20% discount was available to My John Lewis members until Nov. 1, 2026; current availability, delivery dates and the offer’s status should be checked with the retailer.
John Lewis has launched the Loft Chaise Sofa Bed, a £1,199 model that pairs a living-room sofa with a pull-out guest bed and under-seat storage. The design is aimed at households that want to accommodate overnight visitors while keeping spare bedding out of sight, according to an Ideal Home report about the product.
The Loft is described as having a clean-lined, minimalist silhouette and a chaise section. Its storage compartment sits beneath the seat, where owners can keep items such as guest bedding. That combination may be useful when the sofa bed is placed in a shared living area, where there is no separate guest room to close off during a visit.
Ideal Home lists the sofa bed at £1,199. The report says new and existing My John Lewis members could receive a 20% discount until Nov. 1, 2026. That offer date and price come from the report and may not reflect current stock, delivery availability or promotions; shoppers should verify the details with John Lewis before purchasing.
The report describes the model as a sofa bed, but does not provide dimensions, the mattress type, the bed’s sleeping capacity or technical details about how the mechanism operates. It also does not give test results or independent evidence about comfort or durability. The article’s positive assessment is the view of its author, rather than a finding established through comparative product testing published in the supplied material.
Storage for Living-Room Guests
In a small home, a sofa bed can make a living room serve as an occasional guest space. But bedding and other overnight necessities can remain visible after the sofa is folded back into seating form. Built-in storage addresses that practical problem by giving owners a place to put at least some guest items without relying on a separate cupboard.
The feature may be most relevant to people without a dedicated spare bedroom, or to those who want the room to return quickly to everyday use after visitors leave. The sofa’s £1,199 listed price, however, makes it a significant purchase. Whether the design and storage justify that cost will depend on a buyer’s space, budget and needs; the source does not provide independent price comparisons or performance testing.

A Sofa Bed With Storage
The Ideal Home report frames the launch around a feature its author says is often overlooked when choosing a sofa bed: hidden storage. The author, identified as the publication’s Sleep Editor, writes that the value of storage became clear after buying a sofa bed for personal use. That is an attributed personal assessment, not a claim that all sofa beds lack storage.
The report also names alternatives at different price and format points, including single-person chair beds and other sofa beds. It does not supply a consistent comparison of prices, sizes or specifications for those products. The useful distinction in the Loft’s description is its combination of chaise seating and under-seat storage, rather than a demonstrated claim that it is better than competing models.
“The article describes the Loft’s under-seat storage as a place to keep items such as guest bedding out of sight.”

Specifications and Offer Status
The supplied report does not state the sofa bed’s dimensions, mattress construction, sleeping capacity, upholstery options or delivery window. It also does not establish whether the listed 20% member discount remains available or whether the sofa bed is currently in stock. Those details may affect both suitability and total cost.
No independent test results are included for comfort, durability or ease of conversion. The article’s judgment that the model is a strong hosting option should be read as the writer’s opinion, not as a confirmed performance claim. Current product specifications and terms require confirmation from John Lewis.
Check Current Retailer Details
People considering the Loft can check John Lewis’s product listing for current price, stock, delivery dates and promotion terms. Before ordering, they may also want to confirm the bed’s dimensions and sleeping surface against the available floor space and the needs of expected guests.
